Celebrating the Summer Solstice Together

DSC_0395.jpg

Yesterday, Nature Links participants had the wonderful opportunity to meet with each other in person while celebrating the summer solstice. We met at Curtis Cove Beach in East Blue Hill on a gorgeous, sunny day near to low tide. Participants brought baskets of natural materials with them, including shells, ferns, flowers, pinecones and seaweed, and these beautiful materials were used to create a collaborative nature mandala. Our mandala-making was led by local artist, Kirsten Rickert, and was intended to be an ephemeral offering that was disassembled later.

The chance to meet in person and enjoy each other’s company was such a beautiful way to celebrate the onset of summer. Enjoy the photos below from our experience and we hope you can join us for our in-person meetup next month!
