Don’t Let Anything Stop You: An Interview with Steffi Pacson
Written by Nature Links participant, Zubin Grogg.
While we all love and appreciate music, having the chance to interview an artist to learn what inspires them can change the way we listen. Recently, Nature Links had an opportunity to learn more about a talented, young musician and artist named Steffi Pacson. Steffi, a vocalist, and pianist known for her emotionally-charged, catchy pop music, is originally from New York but moved to Belgium recently for work. Due to the time difference and schedule, my interview with her was recorded. You can check it out below!
Prior to the interview with Steffi, the participants of Nature Links had a brainstorming session and came up with questions for her. “Where does she draw her inspiration?”, and “How does she write her songs?”, they asked. This brainstorming session allowed everyone to have input throughout the presentation so all participants felt that they were heard.
One of the things during the interview that resonated most with me was Steffi’s determination to reach her goals. She told us that if you believe you can do something, you can! She explained that the stereotype that you need to learn something at an early age for it to click is not necessarily true. Steffi learned to play piano at the age of 16, not as a small child like many other successful musicians. Her dedication to learning piano turned out to be a big part of her story and career.
It was so nice to talk with Steffi and learn more about her story, her journey after college, and what brought her to Belgium. I speak for all Nature Links participants when I say I’m truly excited to see where she goes and does next. Check out the interview with Steffi below.
