Critterville Wildlife Rehab

Ronald the porcupine had been hit by a car and sustained an injury to his head. He was found by a woman in Bangor, Maine who noticed that the little critter was continuously falling out of a tree at the nearby Ronald McDonald House. Ronald was taken to Critterville Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Brooklin, Maine, a nonprofit organization run by Susan Wotton. Nature Links participants had the chance to meet Susan and get to know the incredible work she does to rescue, rehabilitate, and release wildlife. Susan began Critterville 4 years ago, and has since helped an incredible range of animals, including foxes, porcupines, skunks, opossums, deer, mice, owls, bear cubs, and more! We’re so lucky to be joined by Susan and the critters of Critterville for a 5-week series. In the next few weeks, we’ll zoom in on a different animal, learning about its needs and what Susan does to rehabilitate them.

Check out Critterville’s Facebook page for more information, or join us for a Nature Links class!
